An Aquaculture E-mail Seminar is also currently underway on integrated open sea aquaculture for increased production and environmental improvement; based on a paper by Mr Max Troell of the University.
    The FishGopher project allows key word searching of a number of gopher servers in the ichthyological community.     ALCOM The Aquaculture for Local Community Development Programme is an FAO programme operating in Southern Africa (including Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi).
    AIC - The Aquaculture Information Centre of the US National Agricultural Library Of particular interest is the Resource Guide to Aquaculture Information. For more general information the Integrated System for Information Services which provides access to the library OPAC and journal article index (Agricola) is also worth exploring.     AQUALINK A site for the aquaria hobbyist, part sponsored by M. Reed Enterprised.     The Centre for Innovative Computer Applications (CICA) may seem an unlikely site to find fish, but one of their programmes involves animations of siamese fighting fish (Bettas) used in behavioural experiments with real fish.

    The Inter-Institutional Database of Fish Biodiversity in the Neotropics (NEODAT) is an international cooperative effort to make available systematic and geographic data on neotropical freshwater fish specimens deposited in various collections in the New World and Europe. The Project is funded by NSF and AID grants to ANSP, UMMZ, and CU, administrated through ANSP. There are strong links between the NEODAT project and the Neotropical Ichthyological Association (NIA).

    The Pacific Fishery Biologists aims to "promote fisheries science through research, cooperation, and the free exchange of ideas."
